NEPHRA SUMI
Is a young, inner city
dwelling artist whose preferred medium is stencils and spray paint.
These stenciled and sprayed canvasses are titled "Sweet Nothings".
Nephra says "They are about nothing" which in a sense is true, they are
about the detritus, the leftovers, the junk images and ideas left over
from a daily assault in a world of visual overabundance of stimulus. You
think there is nothing left but you'd be wrong. This unconscious
response makes a direct link to the Surrealist practices of automatic
